Privacy & patient communication

Privacy is part of the care.

Carter Health Group protects the dignity and confidentiality of every person who seeks care. Applicable privacy, consent, financial, and communication notices are provided as part of the patient onboarding process.

Clinical privacy

Health information is used and disclosed only as permitted by applicable law and for treatment, payment, healthcare operations, or other authorized purposes. Patients receive the applicable Notice of Privacy Practices, information about their privacy rights, and a way to raise a privacy concern during onboarding.

Website and email

This public website provides general information only. Ordinary email is not a secure place for diagnoses, medication lists, records, or other private health information. Use email for general and appointment inquiries; clinical information is handled through approved patient-care channels.

Self-pay information

Patients who are uninsured or choosing not to use insurance receive applicable fee information and Good Faith Estimate information for scheduled care. An estimate reflects services reasonably expected at the time it is issued; actual services or charges may change if clinical needs change.

Substance-use records

Records related to substance-use-disorder treatment may receive additional federal protections. When those protections apply, Carter Health Group follows the consent and disclosure requirements governing that information.

Privacy questions

Clear answers. Respectful communication.

Email hello@carterhealthgroup.com with general privacy or website questions. Do not send medical records, diagnoses, medications, or other private health information through ordinary email. Formal notices applicable to your care are provided during onboarding.
